Jotform pricing: every plan, its limits and what you pay

By Nnabuike OkoroaforPublished10 min read

Jotform pricing looks simple at first: one free plan, three paid plans and a custom Enterprise deal. The part that decides your bill is the limits. Each plan caps how many forms you can have live, how many submissions you get a month and how many your account can keep.

This post lays out every Jotform plan, what its limits mean for a real form, the nonprofit and education discount, what happens at a limit and what you'd pay over a year. Prices checked on jotform.com on October 28, 2026. Every Jotform fact here comes from Jotform's own pages, and anything in quotes is Jotform's own wording. Jotform changes its plans from time to time, so open its pricing page before you buy.

What is Jotform?#

Jotform is an online form builder made by Jotform Inc., which lists a San Francisco address on its site. Besides the form builder, its menu lists products such as Jotform Sign, Jotform Apps, Jotform Tables and Jotform Workflows. Its pricing page says it is "Trusted by over 40 million users." This post sticks to price; our Jotform review covers how the builder works.

On Jotform pricing, its own FAQ sums it up: "Jotform offers several plans, including Starter (free), Bronze, Silver, and Gold plans. Jotform also offers Enterprise plans with custom pricing for large organizations."

Jotform pricing at a glance (as of October 28, 2026)#

The pricing page has a toggle between Monthly and Yearly, with the label "Save up to 20%" on Yearly. On the yearly view, each paid card shows a price a month with "Billed annually" under it. Here are both views, in US dollars:

Bronze$39 a month$34 a month ($408 a year)251,000
Silver$49 a month$39 a month ($468 a year)502,500

Jotform's FAQ also says how it charges: "Jotform charges its users in U.S. dollars or euros, depending on where you are located." And on tax: "All payments made to Jotform will automatically include tax in the final price to comply with local regulations." So the price you pay can differ from the card.

What each Jotform plan's limits mean in practice#

The plan cards list more than forms and submissions. Here are the main lines on each card:

Jotform's pricing FAQ explains what each limit counts. Three details matter most:

  • Submissions are counted across your account. "The submission limit refers to the total number of form responses from all forms that your account can support on a monthly basis." Ten forms share one monthly pool.
  • Views work the same way. The form view limit is "the total number of times your forms can be viewed account-wide on a monthly basis."
  • Storage is a running total, not a monthly one. "Total submission storage refers to the maximum number of form submissions you can store in your account." A Bronze account that gets 1,000 submissions a month reaches its 10,000 stored in 10 months.

Payments have their own count: "The payment submission limit is the total number of valid payments you collect with your forms on a monthly basis." And files count against available space, which the FAQ calls "the available disk space you can use to store files uploaded to your forms."

On logins, every card from Starter to Gold says "1 User Individual Plan." The FAQ describes Enterprise as "the only multiuser Jotform plan."

Monthly or yearly billing#

Jotform pricing changes with how you pay. The FAQ: "You can select either a monthly or a yearly subscription. Your subscription will automatically be renewed each month for monthly plans and each year for yearly plans unless you cancel."

Over 12 months, the two options add up like this:

  • Bronze: $468 billed monthly, or $408 billed yearly.
  • Silver: $588 billed monthly, or $468 billed yearly.
  • Gold: $1,548 billed monthly, or $1,188 billed yearly.

A few more billing rules from the same FAQ:

  • Upgrades are instant. "You can upgrade your plan at any time, and your limits will increase immediately."
  • Canceling drops you to Starter. "When you cancel a paid plan, you will still stay on your existing plan until the next billing date, and then you will be downgraded to the Starter plan."
  • There's a refund window. "If, for any reason, you need to cancel your subscription within 30 days of payment, we'll issue a full refund."
  • Sales have conditions. The FAQ says "Jotform offers several discounts at different times of the year," and "These discounts are available only when upgrading to a higher tier yearly plan." It adds: "Plans will auto-renew at the full price in the next payment period."

Jotform pricing for nonprofits and education#

Jotform has its own pricing pages for both groups. The nonprofit page says Jotform is "offering nonprofit organizations 50% off our Bronze, Silver, and Gold plans and 30% on our Enterprise plan." The education page says: "We offer educators 50% off Bronze, Silver, and Gold plans and 30% off for Enterprise."

The discounted prices on both pages, checked October 28, 2026:

PlanBilled monthlyBilled yearly
Bronze$19.50 a month$17 a month ($204 a year)
Silver$24.50 a month$19.50 a month ($234 a year)
Gold$64.50 a month$49.50 a month ($594 a year)

You have to apply first. The pricing FAQ says the discount covers "both monthly and yearly subscriptions," and then: "Once approved, you'll be able to take advantage of the 50% discount." The plan limits stay the same as the full-price plans.

What happens when you hit a Jotform limit#

Jotform's pricing FAQ answers this directly: "When you reach a usage limit, the system will send you a notification email and warn you on your dashboard. You can upgrade your subscription to increase your limits or delete and purge your form submissions to free up space."

Storage has one rule worth reading twice: "Please note that if you exceed your total submission storage, the system will delete the oldest form response to make room for new submissions. To avoid losing data, you can download your old submissions and purge them."

So on a busy account, plan a regular download. If you're on Starter, our Jotform free plan post walks through how fast a real form reaches those limits and what the person filling in your form sees at the cap.

HornetForms pricing, for comparison#

Next to Jotform pricing, HornetForms prices its plans by features, not by response counts. Every plan, Free included, has unlimited forms and unlimited responses, within fair use. Prices are in US dollars:

PlanBilled monthlyBilled yearlyTeamLargest file per upload
Free$0$0Just you10 MB
Pro$29 a month$240 a yearUnlimited team membersNo plan cap
Business$89 a month$720 a yearUnlimited team membersNo plan cap

A few things that matter when you compare costs:

  • No per-seat pricing. Pro and Business include unlimited team members, and members never pay.
  • Payments on every plan. Take one-time payments through your own Stripe account, Free included. Stripe's normal fees apply, and HornetForms adds no fee of its own.
  • Free is free forever, not a trial, and nobody needs a card to sign up.
  • What you pay for is features. Pro and Business remove the "Made with HornetForms" badge and add custom CSS, your logo and a custom domain. Business adds the REST API and 10 custom domains. The pricing page lists the rest.

We built it this way for a personal reason. One of us hit a response cap on another tool in the middle of a hiring round, and the story is in when your form hits the response limit.

Which plan fits which team#

Here's how Jotform pricing and HornetForms pricing work out for three common setups, on yearly billing with the numbers above. Your own numbers will differ, so treat these as worked examples.

SetupJotform plan that covers itHornetForms plan that covers it
One person, 2 forms, about 40 submissions a monthStarter, $0Free, $0
A nonprofit with 6 forms, 1,200 submissions in its busiest month, 60 payments that month, 2 staffSilver, $468 a year, or $234 with the approved nonprofit discountPro, $240 a year
A team of 4 with 30 forms and 3,000 submissions a monthGold, $1,188 a yearPro, $240 a year

How each row works out:

  • One person. Starter's 5 forms and 100 submissions a month cover it, for free. Storage is the one to watch: at 40 a month, the 500 stored fill up in a little over a year. HornetForms Free covers it too.
  • The nonprofit. Six forms is over Starter's 5, and 1,200 in the busy month is over Bronze's 1,000, so Silver is the lowest Jotform plan that covers it. With the nonprofit discount, Jotform costs $6 less a year here. Silver's card says "1 User Individual Plan," so check with Jotform how two staff would share it. On HornetForms, two people need Pro, since teammates come with Pro and Business.
  • The team of four. Silver covers 30 forms, but 3,000 submissions a month is over its 2,500, so Gold it is. A year of responses (36,000) fits inside Gold's 100,000 storage. The same "1 User Individual Plan" note applies. On HornetForms, Pro covers four people at the same price as one. Business ($720 a year) is the step up if you need the REST API or more than one custom domain.

If you want to compare more tools, our Google Forms vs HornetForms and HornetForms vs Typeform vs Tally posts cover the other big names, and the Jotform compare page has a dated side-by-side. For Typeform's plans and limits, see our guide to Typeform pricing.

Work out your own cost: free calculator#

The free form tool cost calculator (Excel) puts Jotform pricing and HornetForms pricing side by side for your own forms. Type how many forms you need, your busiest month of responses and how many people need a login. Add the optional rows that matter to you, such as payments, months of responses you keep or your largest file upload.

The Compare tab then shows:

  • which Jotform plan (Starter to Gold) and which HornetForms plan covers everything you typed
  • any limit you'd go over, marked in red
  • the cost for a year on monthly or yearly billing, with the Jotform discount if you qualify

The Plans tab shows the date we checked Jotform's numbers and a refresh flag. Once those numbers are more than 90 days old, the flag turns red to tell you to check jotform.com first. There's a CSV of the plan table too, with the source page and check date on every row.

The small print#

Jotform is a trademark of Jotform Inc. HornetForms is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Jotform. Every Jotform pricing figure, limit and quote above comes from jotform.com/pricing, its nonprofit pricing page and its education pricing page, checked on October 28, 2026. We recheck them on the day this post goes live and at least every 90 days. Prices can change at any time, so check Jotform's own pages on the day you decide.

Try it on your busiest form#

Pick the form that gets the most responses in your busiest month and build it in HornetForms. Then run both tools through the calculator with your real numbers. Sign up for free, no card needed.
