    A tiny fix for the very first sign-up#

    The very first person on a brand-new, invite-only HornetForms can now create the admin account.

    Fixed#

    • On a brand-new HornetForms set to invite-only, the sign-up page said "invitation only" even before anyone had an account, so nobody could get in to send the first invite. Oops. Now the very first person can create the admin account, and the invite-only rules kick in right after.

    HornetForms 1.0 is out of the nest. Here's everything that ships in the very first release.

    A friendly heads-up: some of these features will be part of the Pro and Business plans, which are coming soon. The pricing page shows which plan includes what, and the Free plan stays free forever.

    The editor#

    • Write a form like a document. Type your questions and press / to add anything else.
    • Autosave keeps every change, so you never lose work.
    • Publish when you're ready, and roll back with version history if you change your mind.
    • Rich text, images, dividers, and videos or embeds from YouTube, Vimeo, Loom, Calendly and Google Maps.

    Smarter forms#

    • Conditional logic to show, hide and jump between questions.
    • Multi-page forms, answer piping with @ mentions and calculated fields for prices, scores and quizzes.
    • Hidden fields and URL prefill, plus up to 20 endings or a redirect after submit.
    • 20+ question types, including signature, matrix, ranking, NPS and CSAT.

    • Describe a form in plain words and get an editable draft.

    Under the hood#

    We spent a lot of time on the boring-but-important bits too. Pages load quickly, our fonts are served from our own servers (no calls to third-party font services), health checks let us spot trouble early, and your data is backed up regularly with encrypted off-site copies.
